Who opens first
Seabreeze opens at 6am every day on London Quay, which makes it the one to know for the earliest sailings. Toastie Lords, a few doors along, opens at 7am seven days a week — toasties, coffee and doughnuts, all of it portable. Gusto on High Street also opens at 7am and does a full café breakfast, but note its own site says it is not open on Saturdays.
Eat in or carry on board
If you would rather eat on the boat, Toastie Lords and the Bakkerij are the natural choices — the bakery specifically mentions packed lunches for ferry travellers on its own site. If you have time to sit, Seabreeze and Gusto are proper sit-down breakfasts.
How long to allow
From London Quay back to the Interislander terminal is roughly a five-minute walk; from High Street, a little more. Check-in deadlines are the ferry operator's business, not ours — allow for them, then work backwards.
